Rotary Fundraiser Assists Orange High School

The oldest school in Orange needs help.  Thanks to the Orange Rotary Club, it now has a refurbished library with other projects in the works.  In order to assist with other projects, the Orange Rotary Club holds a fundraiser, in April.  The evening features entertainment by the Orange High School students. The event features a live and silent auction, gourmet food stations, great desserts and a featured drink – the Orangetini.

Over 115 people attend the fundraiser including Don Wagner, representing the 68th Assembly District, City of Orange Mayor Tita Smith, Mayor pro tem Fred Whitaker, and Councilmember Mark Murphy.

Gold Sponsors include:  Donald Saltikov, CPA, William Steiner, Hagler Financial Services, Jim & Cruz Lorman, Dr. Michael & Jean Abdalla, Farmers & Merchants Bank, Edward Jones, Steve & Georgiann Smith, and Bill & Mary Belle Cordes.

Club Service Projects

The purpose of club service is to foster the successful administration of a Rotary Club. Club service is regarded by many Rotary leaders as the most important part of the club mechanism because without a well functioning club, little else can be performed via the other four Avenues of Service.

Club service involves regularly attending meetings, sponsoring new members, participating in club fellowship, taking part in programs, serving on committees and on the club's board of directors, and representing the club in outside activities. Rotarians have an obligation to strengthen their club, so all members are encouraged to be involved in Club Service.
